RECOGNITION FOR BEING .
It gives us the emotional courage we need and provides us with valuable self-esteem. But it can also create an imbalance. That is why it is also important to go deeper into yourself and to work on it personally. I hope that this article, which I have written with a lot of love and which has several philosophical approaches, will help you to love yourself a little more and to really connect with the important things that make you unique and successful.
The need to be recognised is not connected to our ego, our immature pride, but rather to our value as a human being, as a unique being, with the right to love, to be loved and cherished. And it does not come from the factory.
We have been educated so that through recognition we give value to our acquired or innate skills, virtues and abilities which allow us to do things for ourselves and for others.
The need for recognition and the attachment it creates in us begins during our childhood, as children we already need others to validate our actions in order to learn to feel valuable. We need them to do so by saying positive things to us, with applause and affection. Let them see our person, the talent that we are so that we can reaffirm ourselves and validate ourselves.
And it is that recognition that grabs us, that gives us the integrity, strength and confidence to grow and build our self-esteem.
The consequence of not having received these approvals correctly, will have a detrimental effect on us, not
We will have been able to build a healthy self-esteem and therefore we will depend on, we will continuously seek recognition from others, outside of ourselves, in order to feel valuable.
Self-esteem is an important pillar of motivation to be able to achieve success, to reach our goals.
Some people express their lack of self-esteem to others by wanting to demonstrate through their actions and through dialogue that they are unique, important, special... to always stand out, to be the best, to be good at what I do... Seeking recognition.
It could be said that they have the need to show themselves superior to others in order not to connect with the feeling of inferiority.
Self-recognition according to Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs is a very important pillar, situated at a higher level.

Self-esteem is strongly linked to recognition but also to success, since without self-esteem, progressing on the road to success and obtaining results will be difficult.
Putting our success in the hands of others is not fair to us, and it is therefore of utmost importance to detect this feeling and not to become extremely vulnerable.
We deserve to find in ourselves that recognition and not give power over us to others, for this there are several tips that can be ultimes.
Transform a comment or situation that directly attacks that part of you that is vulnerable and lacking in confidence into something you can use as a motivational driver.
Maslow defines this fourth step as the ability to feel good about one's self-concept. Choose the people you relate to in your daily life.
In this way, if I perceive that my closest and most intimate environment values me, I will grow with greater confidence. If those around me appreciate what I am and what I do, I will be using that
valuable recognition to strengthen my self-concept and self-esteem.
Accept that certain people are not worth the recognition.
Believe in what you do, put value in it and enjoy it. If we work and live for recognition, we are neither creative nor authentic. Freedom is achieved when our work allows us to enjoy it or when it has meaning. Therefore, do it for yourself first, avoid chasing fame and recognition.
Marcus Aurelius, trained in Stoicism, reflected in his philosophical writings on this theme, the absurdity of seeking recognition in others and the importance of practising the Stoic virtues, wisdom, courage or fortitude, self-control or self-discipline (temperance) and integrity or justice, connecting them with the Stoic disciplines of perception, action and desire.
Shining with your own light will make you an abundant person, since success and recognition will be the consequence of your actions, and it does not matter if this comes to you in life, since the beings around you will also have their end as well as you. Think of others, but do not give them all the power.
